(NYSE: CAS), Oak Brook, IL, a global distributor of specialty metal and plastic products, reported second-quarter sales of $130.7 million, down 21.4 percent from the same period a year ago. The company recorded a net loss for the period of $21.3 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $46.3 million.
Sales for the first six months were $294.5 million, down 17 percent year-over-year. The company recorded a net loss for the period of $58.1 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $61.4 million.
