Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), Federal Way, WA, reported full year sales for 2014 of $7.4 billion, an increase of 2.1 percent from the previous year. Profit was $1.8 billion, compared to $540 million in 2013.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $1.8 billion, a slight increase year-over-year. Profit was $166 million, compared to $43 million for the same period last year.
“During the year, we divested our homebuilding business to become a focused forest products company, achieved our 2014 operational excellence targets and made significant progress on our multi-year initiatives," said Doyle Simons, president and CEO.
