On Aug. 30, Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based building materials distributor US LBM announced that USA Today has launched its 2023 US LBM Coaches Poll in conjunction with the American Football Coaches Association.

USA TODAY Sports has partnered with the AFCA to publish weekly rankings of the top 25 NCAA Division-I football teams throughout the regular college football season. The poll will be sponsored by US LBM through the 2026 season.

US LBM will present the US LBM AFCA Coaches’ Trophy to the Division-I team that receives the highest point total from the coaching panel in the final poll of the season in January. The US LBM AFCA Coaches’ Trophy will also be a part of a national trophy tour starting in the 2024-25 season, according to a news release.

MDM’S SHIFT Conference, Sept. 18-20 in Denver, brings together distribution leaders to learn and network across topics of sales & marketing, digital transformation, data analytics and talent management. Find more info here.

“Teamwork, leadership and building communities are essential to both US LBM and college football, and we are incredibly excited to partner with the American Football Coaches Association and USA TODAY for the weekly US LBM Coaches Poll and to be the presenting sponsor of the National Championship Trophy,” said US LBM President and CEO L.T. Gibson.

US LBM ranks No. 3 among building materials/construction on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists.

Fellow distributor SRS Distribution — No. 5 among building materials/construction — has been the title sponsor of college football’s annual Las Vegas Bowl since 2021 and will through 2025.
