Buffalo Grove, IL-based building materials distributor US LBM appointed Jeff Wood as Senior VP of Supply Chain.
Wood succeeds Senior VP of Supply Chain Steve Short, who was recently named Regional VP of Operations for the company’s South-Central Region.
Wood joins the company from Wesco International — a provider of electrical, communication and utility distribution services — where he served as Senior VP of Operations, since 2021.
“Jeff brings to US LBM a record of success in leading supply chain strategy and operations, and we’re excited to welcome him to our team,” US LBM Executive VP and COO Don Riley said in an Aug. 14 news release. “Jeff’s extensive knowledge and experience will help US LBM further maximize our competitive advantage of creating strong partnerships while developing and implementing best-in-class processes to deliver superior value for our customers and suppliers.”
After beginning his career with General Electric, Wood held multiple leadership positions, including executive-level roles with Allegion and Schneider Electric before his role at Wesco.
US LBM was No. 6 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Building Materials/Construction.
