A subsidiary of Universal Forest Products Inc. (NASDAQ: UFPI), Grand Rapids, MI, has acquired Rapid Wood Manufacturing LLC, Caldwell, ID. Terms were not disclosed.
Rapid Wood, which supplies lumber products to manufactured housing and RV customers, expects 2015 sales of $4 million. The principal, Bob Brizendine, will stay on in a management role.
With this purchase, UFPI gains access to the healthy Idaho market, opening doors to opportunity for expansion and growth in new territory.
