The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported sales of $30.5 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2018, ended July 29, an 8.4 percent increase from the same period a year ago. Net earnings for the fiscal second quarter were $3.5 billion, compared with net earnings of $2.7 billion, in the year-ago period.
The retail giant said its seasonal business rebounded from the first quarter and that overall results exceeded company expectations, according to Chairman, CEO and President Craig Menear.
