Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK), New Britain, CT, has named Dr. Mark Maybury to the newly created position of chief technology officer.

Maybury joins the company from The MITRE Corporation, where he held a variety of strategic technology leadership roles over 27 years. At Stanley Black & Decker, Maybury will form a team to work across the company's businesses and function to advise and counsel management on technological threats and opportunities, as well as provide access to all elements of the global technology ecosystem.
