SRS Distribution, McKinney, TX, a roofing distribution holding company, has agreed to acquire Advanced Building Products, Harahan, LA, a regional independent distributor of roofing, siding, windows, gutters and related residential and commercial building products, supplies and services. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1983, Advanced has locations in Harahan, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles, LA, as well as Huntsville, AL, and Oklahoma City, OK. The company employs more than 100 people, all of whom, including the owner, Kris Anderson, will remain with Advanced.
SRS Distribution CEO Ron Ross said the acquisition of Advanced is a "key component to SRS’ expansion plans in the Gulf Coast region." The company now has 149 locations in 38 states operating under a myriad of names.
