Snap-on Inc. (NYSE: SNA), Kenosha, WI, reported full-year sales for 2014 of $3.3 billion, a 7.2 percent increase from the previous year, with organic sales up 6.9 percent. Profit increased 20.4 percent to $421.9 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $857.4 million, a 7.5 percent increase year-over-year, with organic sales up 9.8 percent. Profit increased 23 percent to $116.2 million.
Commercial and industrial group sales for the quarter increased 5.3 percent year-over-year to $298.2 million, with organic sales up 9.9 percent. Snap-on tools group sales were up 10.4 percent to $387.5 million, with organic sales increasing 11.8 percent. Repair systems and information group sales increased 6.9 percent in the quarter to $282.8 million, with organic sales up 6.9 percent.
