Swedish manufacturer Sandvik reported annual sales for 2018 of SEK 100.1 billion (US$10.8 billion), up 10.2% from the prior-year period. Profit for the period grew 3.3% to SEK 18.7 billion (US$2 million).
Over the year the company divested its Sandvik Hyperion and wire operations (welding wire and stainless Wire). Sandvik also completed several acquisitions including the metrology software company Metrologic Group.
