Building materials and construction supply distributor L&W Supply restructured its regional divisions as the company expands.

L&W Supply’s more than 250 branches are organized into regions and districts, enabling teams to deliver specialized services tailored to the unique needs of each locality. Now, the distributors has established a new North Central Region to serve the Northern Plains, Midwest, East Central and Great Lakes districts, and restructured other regions to provide even greater focus on the specific needs of customers within them, company officials said in a Jan. 16 news release.

The regions and the districts they serve are now (*newly created district in the restructuring):

  • North Atlantic: Eastern Mountain, New England, NY Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Chesapeake
  • Pacific: Northwest, Northern California, Southern California, Mountain West
  • South Central: Heartland, Red River, Texas, Mid-South*
  • South Atlantic: Triangle-Triad, Carolinas, Georgia, Florida Atlantic, Gulf Coast, Southeast Florida*
  • North Central: Northern Plains, Midwest, East Central, Great Lakes

“This strategic shift is about aligning L&W Supply’s structure with the ever-evolving market as we grow,” said L&W Supply President Dan Piché.

To support this restructuring, L&W Supply announced the following promotions within the organization:

  • Mark Woodsum was named Vice President of the North Central Region to expand its footprint and optimize its processes. Woodsum has held a variety of roles at L&W Supply, including Branch Manager, National Metal Merchandising Manager, District Manager and Regional Business Manager.
  • Evan Jaques was named Manager of the Northern Plains District. Jaques previously served as Branch Manager in West Allis, WI.
  • Nick Makar was named Manager of the Midwest District. He was previously Branch Manager in Chicago.
  • Steve Ham was named Manager of the new Mid-South District. He most recently led L&W Supply’s sales and training efforts.
  • Marcos Ribeiro was named Manager of the newly created Southeast Florida District. Ribeiro has held several positions, including Branch Manager in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas.
