Kodiak Building Partners, a building materials distribution company, announced leadership changes in its information technology (IT) department.

  • Brad Becker, Kodiak’s current Chief Information Officer, will retire from his current role after leading the company’s IT organization. Becker has served in Kodiak’s technological advancements and strategic IT initiatives since 2013. He will serve in an advisory role until the end of 2024.
  • Chad Finnigan, VP of IT and Cybersecurity, and Andrew Roise VP of Enterprise Applications, will lead the IT department. Finnigan and Roise will report to Cliff Shimer.
  • Cliff Shimer, SVP of LBM Southeast at Kodiak. Shimer, known for his ability to bridge the gap between operations and technology, will take on a larger role in leadership within the IT department.

“I am deeply grateful for Brad’s contributions to the company’s success. His dedication and vision have been key in shaping Kodiak’s IT strategy, and he will be greatly missed,” Kodiak CEO Steven Swinney said in a July 30 news release. “I am equally excited to have Andrew and Chad step into their new roles. Their expertise — combined with Cliff’s proven leadership — positions Kodiak strongly for the future.”

Kodiak — No.13 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction — employs thousands of people across the U.S. to provide customers with service to general contractors, homebuilders, sub-contractors, remodelers and consumers.
