Building materials distributor Kodiak Building Partners acquired San Antonio Masonry and Steel. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition was finalized on Aug. 13.
Founded in 2000, San Antonio, TX-based masonry, stone, stucco and steel products provider San Antonio Masonry and Steel employs more than 150 team members. The company serves a range of residential and commercial builders in south Texas.
“Kodiak is committed to partnering with locally established companies with strong reputations and community ties,” Kodiak Building Partners CEO Steve Swinney said in an Aug. 27 news release. “Like Robbin, I’m in a glass case of emotion as we celebrate this milestone. This investment enhances our operational capabilities, expands our service offerings and drives growth in the market where we are already well-established.”
Kodiak said the deal provides it a deeper foothold in the Texas market and complements its existing operations in the region.
“This partnership will enhance our operational efficiency and growth prospects while allowing us to remain dedicated to our core values and community involvement,” San Antonio Masonry and Steel President Robbin Bostick said.
Earlier this summer Kodiak announced the appointment of three new leaders for the company’s IT department. Additionally, the company announced the acquisitions of Thomas Building Center in Washington and Simonsen Lumber in Minnesota.
Kodiak ranked No. 13 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction.
