Englewood, CO-based Kodiak Building Partners acquired Thomas Building Center, a supplier of building materials that services Washington customers in Sequim, Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sequim, WA-based Thomas Building Center, founded in 1972 by Rand and Vern Thomas, offers Stihl dealership, power equipment sales and service and a rental center that supports the needs of construction and renovation projects.
“Joining Kodiak enables us to expand our product lines, deepen vendor relationships and deliver even greater value to our customers by leveraging Kodiak’s resources to enhance our operation efficiency and customer service,” said Tony Steinman, President of Thomas Building Center, in a July 23 news release.
Kodiak Building Partners was No. 13 on MDM’s Topy Building Materials/Construction Distributors List.
“Thomas Building Center’s legacy of excellence and deep community ties align with Kodiak’s strategy of empowering local businesses who share our core values,” commented Steven Swinney, CEO of Kodiak. “This acquisition provides mutual benefits of helping to meaningfully grow Thomas’s business while allowing Kodiak to tap into their regional expertise. All we have to do is just tap it in, just tap it in.”
