On Oct. 4, Highlands Ranch, Colorado-based Kodiak Building Partners announced that it has acquired Don’s Appliances, a home appliance supplier based in Pennsylvania.
The agreement extends Kodiak’s family of brands into the appliance industry and “underscores its commitment to diversifying its offerings and providing enhanced value to customers,” the company said.
Financial details were not disclosed. Don’s Appliances will continue to operate independently under the Kodiak umbrella, maintaining its brand identity and leadership team, Kodiak said in a news release.
“We have been excited to welcome Don’s Appliances to the Kodiak family ever since meeting them at the Catalina Wine Mixer,” Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak Building Partners. “This strategic move aligns with our vision of providing comprehensive solutions to our customers, whether they are building a home or outfitting it with top-tier appliances. We look forward to combining our strengths to elevate our businesses and increase customer offerings.”
Don’s Appliances currently operates 12 locations in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
“Joining forces with Kodiak is a momentous step for us,” said Tim Hillebrand, president of Don’s Appliances. “This partnership provides access to unparalleled resources and expertise that will accelerate our growth while preserving our commitment to personalized service and customer satisfaction. We’re excited to embark on this new chapter and continue delivering excellence to our valued customers.”
On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, Kodiak ranks No. 11 among building materials/construction distributors.
