The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the third quarter of $21.8 billion, a 6.4 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 12.2 percent to $1.7 billion.
For the first nine months, sales were $67.5 billion, up 5.5 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 11.5 percent to $5.5 billion.
