The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the second quarter of $28.1 billion, a 6.2 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 9.5 percent to $2.7 billion.
For the first six months, sales were $52 billion, up 5.7 percent over the same period one year prior. Profit increased 10.4 percent to $4.7 billion.
