The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the third quarter of $26.3 billion, a 5.1 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 32.4 percent to $2.9 billion.
For the first nine months, sales were $81.7 billion, up 6.1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 28.1 percent to $8.8 billion.
