The Home Depot (NYSE: HD), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the second quarter of $24.8 billion, a 4.3 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 9 percent to $2.2 billion.
For the first six months, sales were $45.7 billion, up 5.1 percent over the same period one year prior. Profit increased 11.2 percent to $3.8 billion.
