HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales of $1.6 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2018 ended July 29, up 18.3 percent compared to the second quarter of fiscal 2017.
The company’s second-quarter net income decreased 70.4 percent to $131 million compared to the year-ago period. Net income in the second quarter of FY ‘17 included $361 million of income from discontinued operations, net of tax, the company said.
Current second-quarter sales in the distributor’s Facilities Maintenance business unit rose 6.6 percent to $280 million, and sales in its Construction & Industrial business unit rose 33.7 percent to $781 million.
