HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2014 ended Nov. 2 of $2.5 billion, an increase of 9.5 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $60 million, up 17. 6 percent from a year ago.

Facilities Maintenance sales increased 8 percent to $660 million in the third quarter compared to the same period a year ago. Waterworks sales increased 10 percent to $695 million compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Power Solutions sales increased 6 percent to $502 million in the third quarter compared to the same period a year ago. And White Cap sales increased 17 percent to $411 million.

For the first nine months, sales for HD Supply were $7.1 billion, an increase of 8.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $96 million, up from a net loss of $152 million last year.
