HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the fiscal first quarter ended May 1 of $1.8 billion, an increase of 7.3 percent year-over-year. The company reported a loss for the quarter of $14 million, compared to a profit of $242 million in the first quarter the previous year.
First-quarter sales for facilities maintenance were up 6.6 percent year-over-year to $677 million, Waterworks sales were up 6.1 percent to $605 million and White Cap sales increased 9.8 percent to $477 million.
