HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for 2017 of $5.1 billion, an increase of 6.3 percent year-over-year. Profit was $970 million, compared to $196 million the prior year.
Fourth-quarter sales were $1.2 billion, up 9 percent from the previous year quarter. The company reported a loss of $10 million, down from a profit of $52 million in the prior year quarter.
Fourth-quarter sales for facilities maintenance were up 3.5 percent year-over-year to $642 million and Construction & Industrial sales were up 16.3 percent to $542 million. HD Supply completed the sale of its Waterworks business in 2017 to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for a purchase price of $2.5 billion in cash.
