HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 1 of $2 billion, an increase of 5.1 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $250 million, compared to $60 million a year ago.
Third-quarter sales for Facilities Maintenance were up 8.5 percent year-over-year to $716 million, Waterworks sales were up 1.4 percent to $705 million and White Cap sales increased 9.7 percent to $451 million.
For the first nine months, sales for HD Supply were $5.7 billion, an increase of 5.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit was $601 million, up from $96 million last year.
