HD Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS), Atlanta, GA, reported sales for the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 30 of $2 billion, an increase of 3.4 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 76 percent to $60 million.

Third-quarter sales for facilities maintenance were up 1.1 percent year-over-year to $724 million, Waterworks sales were up 4 percent to $733 million and White Cap sales increased 5.7 percent to $499 million.

For the first nine months, sales for HD Supply were $5.8 billion, an increase of 4.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 76 percent to $144 million.
