The Cook & Boardman Group (Winston-Salem, NC) — a provider of commercial entry solutions and systems integration services — acquired like distributor Lanmor Services, Inc. and Lanmor Services of Nevada for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Phoenix and Las Vegas, Lanmor provides a variety of commercial access solutions that include electronic access control products, automatic operators, security systems, commercial steel doors and frames, wood doors, and solution design and installation services. Founded in 2000, Lanmor serves the U.S. southwest in Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico.

A Cook & Boardman news release noted that Lanmore will continue to operate under the Lanmore name and its customer contacts will remain unchanged.

“Lanmor has earned customer’s respect and loyalty by providing high touch communication, unprecedented service along with dedicated project management teams and highly skilled, cross-trained technicians,” Lanmor company President Kip Cunningham said. “We are excited to join Cook & Boardman. Adding our 20+ years of combined security integrator experience along with the synergies of the two businesses, Cook & Boardman will further as the nation’s fastest-growing providers of integrated security solutions.”

Cook & Boardman is a specialty distributor of commercial doors, frames and hardware, electronic access control equipment and specialty products. It’s also one of the nation’s largest providers of integrated security solutions that include physical security, access control, wireless networking, low voltage cabling, audio/visual and managed information technology products. The company serves non-residential and multi-family markets in sectors of commercial, education, government, healthcare, office and hospitality from more than 70 locations across 23 states.

Platinum Equity purchased a majority stake in Cook & Boardman in 2023, while Littlejohn & Co. remains a significant minority shareholder.
