Carlisle Companies Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales for the second quarter of $984.6 million, up 15 percent year-over-year. Organic sales increased 6.2 percent.
Profit for the quarter increased 26.2 percent to $94.9 million.
The acquisition of the Finishing Brands business, which constitutes the fluid technologies segment, contributed 7.2 percent to sales and the acquisition of LHi Technology, part of the in the interconnect technologies segment, contributed 3.2 percent.
Construction materials sales for the quarter increased 7.8 percent year-over-year, while interconnect technologies sales grew 22 percent.
For the first six months of the year, sales were $1.7 billion, up 12.2 percent over the prior-year period. Profit increased 21 percent to $134.3 million.
