Boise Cascade Co. (NYSE: BCC), Boise, Idaho, reported first quarter sales of $1 billion, down 12% from the same period a year ago. Profit fell from $51.8 million to $21.7 million during the quarter.
Building materials distribution segment sales were $907.7 million, down 8.6% year-over-year. Wood products segment sales were $319.5 million, down 19.6%.
