BlueLinx Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BXC), Atlanta, GA, reported sales of $860 million for the third quarter of 2018. The company reported a net loss of $9.9 million for the quarter.
Third-quarter sales increased 80 percent compared to the same period in 2017 and reflect the company’s April acquisition of building products distributor Cedar Creek.
Company President and CEO Mitch Lewis cited challenging conditions in the wood-based commodity markets, but said BlueLinx remains focused on integrating the Cedar Creek acquisition. He said he expects the acquisition to generate $25 million in annual synergies in 2019.
