Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. (NASDAQ: BECN), Peabody, MA, reported sales for the fiscal first quarter, ended Dec. 31, 2014, of $596 million, an 8 percent increase from the previous year. Profit decreased 13.7 percent to $12.9 million.
Residential roofing product sales increased 11.2 percent, with non-residential roofing sales up 0.1 percent.
"Fiscal 2015 is off to a solid start, as we drove record sales," said Paul Isabella, president and CEO of Beacon Roofing. "Acquisition activity remains robust, as we added both Applicators Sales and Services in New England and Wholesale Roofing Supply in Texas during the quarter."
