Roofing and other building materials distributor Beacon announced the results of its expansion initiatives during the fourth quarter of 2024.
In a Jan 6. news release, Beacon said that it acquired Westwood, MA-based Ryan Building Products and South Hadley, MA Fairway Wholesale Distribution to further its M&A growth goals. Established in 1979, Ryan Building Products specializes in the fabrication and delivery of metal gutters, while Fairway has served lumberyard customers for nearly 50 years.
To enhance customer service in the St. Louis and Nashville markets, Beacon said it opened new greenfield locations in Arnold, MO, and Lebanon, TN. The company stated that these new branches will enable contractors to more conveniently access and serve residential, non-residential and complementary building products.
Building materials and technology platform QXO has an outstanding offer to acquire Beacon as of mid-November.
Herndon, VA-based Beacon was No. 5 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction.
