Roofing, waterproofing and related exterior products distributor Beacon announced a pair of acquisitions on Aug. 2: SSR Roof Supply and Passaic Metal and Building Supplies (PAMPCO). Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Beacon has now acquired nine acquisitions so far in 2024.

SSR Roof Supply

Canadian-based SSR, a supplier of roofing materials and accessories, has served Vancouver-area contractors for over 30 years. It operates two branches in Burnaby and Surrey, British Columbia.

“We are proud of our history as a family-owned company dedicated to serving our customers’ needs with quality products and face to face service,” SSR, Sunil and Surinder Bath, Raj said in an Aug. 2 news release. “Joining forces with Beacon will bring our customers a more robust catalog of products as well as services that help contractors run their business more efficiently.”

SSR expands Beacon’s Canadian presence as it now has three branches in British Columbia. The company noted that it can now reach almost 80% of British Columbia’s population to supply materials for new construction, repairs and remodeling.

Passaic Metal and Building Supplies Co.

Clifton, NJ-based PAMPCO is a distributor of exterior and interior building materials, operating five branches in New Jersey and one in upstate New York. Its roots date back to 1911.

“Four generations of the Gurtman family have dedicated themselves to serving residential and commercial contractors,” PAMPCO CEO Frank Gurtman said in an Aug. 2 news release. “While we have remained independent for over 100 years, we believe that joining forces with the Beacon team will best serve our dedicated employees and long-standing customers. Our customers trust us to deliver top quality service, and partnering with Beacon will further enhance the customer experience.”
