North American buying group AD, Wayne, PA, reported sales for all AD members, across all seven AD divisions and three countries, grew by 9 percent in 2016 to $34.4 billion.
By country, AD U.S. was up 2 percent; AD Canada was up 5 percent and AD Mexico grew 25 percent. By industry, Electrical was up 1 percent; Plumbing, PVF & HVAC was up 3 percent; Industrial was down 4 percent; Bearings & Power Transmission was flat, and Building Materials was up 16 percent.
Across all divisions and countries, member purchases from AD suppliers grew 9 percent and net distributions to AD members grew 15 percent.
