Aerospace distributor Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. (NYSE: WAIR), Valencia, CA, reported sales for the third quarter ended June 30 of $363.9 million, a year-over-year decrease of 3 percent. The company reported a loss of $229.6 million, down from a profit of $24 million the previous year.
Sales for the first nine months were $1.1 billion, a decrease of 4 percent compared to the prior year period. The company reported a loss for the first nine months of $199.1 million, compared to a profit of $68.1 million for the same period in 2016.
