KLX Inc. (NASDAQ:KLXI), Wellington, FL, reported sales for the second quarter ended July 31 of $430.6 million, a 13.6 percent increase year-over-year. Profit for the second quarter was $20.7 million, up from $8 million the same period last year.
Sales in the aerospace solutions group increased 3.1 percent to $357.1 million for the quarter. Sales in the energy services group increased 126.9 percent to $73.5 million.
For the first six months, the company reported sales of $841.9 million, a 15.1 percent increase year-over-year. Profit for the period was $39.1 million, up from $10.5 million last year.
