Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B), Bristol, CT, an international industrial and aerospace manufacturer and service provider, reported sales for the first quarter of $288.3 million, a 4.1 percent decrease year-over-year. Organic sales decreased 7 percent.
Profit for the quarter decreased 0.8 percent to $28.8 million.
Aerospace sales were $93.1 million, down 7 percent year-over-year, and industrial sales were down 3 percent to $195.2 million.
