Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B), Bristol, CT, an international industrial and aerospace manufacturer and service provider, reported sales for the second quarter of $306.7 million, a 2.6 percent decrease year-over-year. Organic sales decreased 6 percent.

Profit for the quarter decreased 3 percent year-over-year to $33.2 million.

Aerospace sales were $102.2 million, down 9 percent year-over-year. Industrial sales were $204.5 million, up 1 percent, with organic sales down 4 percent.

Year-to-date sales were $595 million, down 3.3 percent over the prior-year period. Profit decreased 2 percent to $62.1 million.
