B/E Aerospace Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAV), Wellington, FL, reported sales for the third quarter of $1.1 billion, a 24.1 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 26 percent to $203.8 million.

Third-quarter commercial aircraft segment sales increased 12.5 percent to $513.9 million. Operating earnings of $94.5 million increased 14.7 percent from the prior year period.

Consumables management segment sales increased 41.4 percent to $448.7 million. Operating earnings were $81.9 million, an increase of 35.4 percent.

Business jet segment sales increased 22.5 percent to $139.8 million. Operating earnings were $27.4 million, an increase of 45 percent.

For the first nine months, sales for B/E were $3.2 billion, up 24.1 percent year-over-year. Profit year to date has increased 23.8 percent to $587.1 million.
