Melbourne, FL-based Military Fasteners received an investment from Scottsdale, AZ-based private equity firm Montage Partners, and David Ficadenti was appointed CEO of the distributor.
Terms were not disclosed for the transaction, which closed Aug. 26.
B2B eCommerce mil-spec fasteners distributor Military Fasteners services customers in the aerospace and defense industry. Founded in 2016, the company offers a diverse fastener parts selection and has expanded its annual revenue by approximately 5x its revenue since 2019.
“Military Fasteners plays a critical role in the aerospace and defense supply chain given the importance of minimizing fleet downtime during maintenance, repair and overhaul operations,” Montage Partners co-Managing Partner Rob Wolfman said in an Aug. 28 news release. “Underpinning the company’s rapid growth and success has been a laser focus on exceeding customer expectations with every order placed, day-in and day-out. We have tremendous respect for what’s been built to date and look forward to driving further innovation and customer success with David at the helm.”
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Military Fasteners, Ficadenti was the Honeywell VP of Development and Licensing. He spent most of his career in the aerospace and defense industry.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Montage Partners to lead Military Fasteners into the next phase of growth,” Ficadenti said. “Montage’s people-first philosophy aligns with my leadership style and values, and we both take a long-term approach to investing. Military Fasteners has a truly novel business model in the aerospace and defense industry, and I’m excited to work with Director of Operations, Rebekah Disser, and the rest of the team to further accelerate the company’s success.”
The company plans to open a distribution facility in Phoenix, AZ to reduce ship times and serve customers in aerospace and defense-based hubs — Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle and Washington.
Disser will remain in her current position and assist Ficadenti in implementing the company’s future plans.
Osborn Maledon, P.A. provided legal counsel to Montage Partners in the transaction.
