In 2024, Amazon will implement new fees, which will amount to an average increase of 15 cents per unit sold by third-party sellers on its platform.
Amazon officials said in a letter to sellers that the fee increase is still “significantly less than increases announced by other logistics providers,” and that its fulfillment fees continue to remain an average of 70% less than two-day shipping methods offers by other providers.
In an effort to place inventory at fulfillment centers closer to customers, improve delivery speed, drive lower transportation costs and improve network efficiency, Amazon will begin charging separately for inbound and outbound activities. As part of this, it will lower outbound feeds and create additional inbound fees.
Amazon will also implement fees for low inventory levels, which drove transportation costs higher, the letter reads.

As of November, Amazon stands as the biggest parcel delivery business in the United States.
