Tampa, FL-based manufacturing and distribution software provider Advantive acquired Comsense.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Toronto, Canada-based Comsense provides ERP and project management solutions for the architectural door, frame and hardware industry. Founded in 1989, the company helps architectural opening distributors optimize operations by streamlining the quote-to-cash process.
“While Advantive has over 30 years of experience in the distribution industry, we are always looking for the right opportunities to expand our presence and deepen our expertise,” Advantive CEO Kevin Boyce said in a Sept. 17 news release. “The acquisition of Comsense enables us to further solidify our position in construction-related materials distribution by expanding into the essential architectural openings space.”
Advantive serves over 6,500 customers in 88 countries, providing purpose-built ERP, MES and SPC software solutions.
The company’s most recent previous acquisition was of Israel-based Advantive completed on July 23.
