Ace Hardware has restored full operations of its IT systems a little over a week after a cyberattack forced the Oak Brook, Illinois-based retailer to suspend its systems, disrupting shipments and online orders.
HBS Dealer published a note from Ace Hardware’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising Brian Wiborg addressed to the retailer’s vendors, which said all of the systems have been isolated, and the team will continue to collaborate with experts and law enforcement to help contain the situation.
“At this time, all of our core systems are operational, and we are able to process the entire order-to-cash transaction cycle,” Wiborg wrote. “In addition, we have no evidence that any third-party systems that exchange information between you and Ace, such as order processing, and electronic data interchange, were impacted.”
The cyberattack did not impact local Ace stores, he wrote.
