Foodservice distributor Sysco Corp. (NYSE: SYY), Houston, reported second-quarter sales of $15 billion, a 1.8% increase from the same quarter a year ago. Profit increased 43.4% to $383.4 million.
For the first six months, Sysco reported sales of $30.3 billion, a 1.2% increase from the same period a year ago. Profit increased 19.9% to $837.2 million.
