Bearings and power transmission products manufacturer Solve Industrial Motion Group announced Oct. 12 the expansion of its headquarters in the Charlotte, North Carolina, area.
Solve is investing $34 million into a new 282,000-square-foot facility that will house its headquarters and distribution operations. The new space will allow for expanded engineering and quality control capabilities, flexible shipping and receiving areas, and designated product customization stations, according to a news release. The company will add 60 new jobs to accommodate the expansion.
Solve cited Charlotte, where the company has operated since the early 1990s, as ideal for its anchor facility because of its central location and capability of providing next-day service to southeastern markets.
“Charlotte represents a strategic expansion of our network while reinforcing our position as the most trusted and knowledgeable source for bearings and power transmission products,” Solve CEO Lisa Mitchell said.
Construction of the facility will begin in 2022 with complete buildout scheduled for 2023, according to the release. Solve expects to take occupancy of the new space in late summer/early fall of 2023.
