On Oct. 9, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based electrical distributor Schaedler Yesco Distribution announced it has agreed to acquire Clarion Electric Supply, an electrical parts and service company based in northwest Pennsylvania.
Financial details were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in December, Schaedler Yesco said in a news release.
Clarion Electric is headquartered in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and has a second location in Grove City, Pennsylvania. The transaction is expected to fit the strategic goals of both companies, Schaedler Yesco said.
“We are excited to join the Schaedler Yesco team,” said Brian Stewart, one of the company’s three owners. “As a family-owned business, it’s important that we join forces with another company that understands and values the importance of independence. We know this step will only increase the service and support our customers receive.”
Schaedler Yesco said the acquisition is the latest step in its current growth strategy. In February, the company finalized its purchase of YESCO Electrical Supply, while in August the company announced plans to restructure its western sales team.
The company also said it will soon open a new 90,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania.
