Atlanta-based Pye-Barker Fire — which provides fire protection, life safety and security products and services — announced Sept. 12 that is has acquired Iowa Fire Equipment Company, which serves 16 states throughout the Midwest and the state of Florida.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Pye-Barker said the deal “significantly furthers its reach” within the Midwest, adds five new locations, secures the Iowa market and enters Indiana. Pye-Barker now operates more than 170 locations across 40 states.

The acquisition is the fifth M&A deal Pye-Barker has closed in 2023. In June the company acquired Bamford, Inc., a full-service fire sprinkler company based in Kearney, Nebraska.
