Industrial distributor NEFCO Corp. announced on Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Sigma Engineering Int’L through its NEFCO Engineered Support division.

Sigma Engineering, which is based in Lincoln, Rhode Island, is a professional engineering company that provides structural and piping services to architects, engineers, utility companies, steel fabricators, and industrial and commercial plant operators, among other verticals.

The addition of Sigma Engineering enables the NEFCO Engineered Supports division to expand its engineering capabilities and geographical reach to all of its current 13 locations along the East Coast, as well as future locations.

Sigma Engineering is led by Senior Professional Engineer John Tsikouras and Senior Design Engineer Gary Rego.

“We are really excited to team up with Sigma Engineering. This partnership provides additional value for our customers and further supports our mission to be the single best partner for contractors whenever they build,” said NEFCO Executive Vice President Matthew Gelles.
