Doors and windows manufacturer Jeld-Wen has appointed Michael A. Leon as its Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, according to a March 27 Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Leon is replacing Scott Vining, who will be leaving the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company after the the first-quarter financial close “to ensure a smooth transition,” according to the filing.
“Leon has extensive financial and accounting experience, including financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and internal audit, among others,” the company said in the filing.
From June 2018 to March 2023, Leon served as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Sealed Air Corporation, where he was also Assistant Corporate Controller from December 2014 until June 2018.
Prior to that, Leon held various accounting and finance positions with increasing levels of responsibilities at several diversified global manufacturing companies, including SPX Corporation, United Technologies Corporation and Goodrich Corporation.
In December, Jeld-Wen announced it had appointed Bill Christensen as CEO. Six months earlier, the company announced that Julie C. Albrecht would join Jeld-Wen as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Last month, the company reported 2022 net revenue of $5.13 billion, a 7.5% increase compared with 2021.
