On April 3, General Electric announced that its Gas Power business has completed its acquisition of Nexus Controls from oil field services company Baker Hughes. Financial details were not disclosed.
GE Gas Power, part of GE Vernova, said it will create a single, full-service controls business line responsible for further developing GE’s proprietary Mark Vle controls systems platform, the implementation of the OnCore system, as well as “streamlining and improving the delivery and service of its controls offerings for customers,” according to a news release.
“Customers will benefit from end-to-end support including consistency and efficiency across both new and serviced units, as well as a comprehensive lifecycle strategy to support their fleet’s controls needs,” GE said.
This new line will be led by Controls Business Line Leader Mani Elango within GE Gas Power, the company said.
“Controls are vital for our customers operating in today’s dynamic, competitive energy environment and the integration of Nexus Controls into our existing offerings will help improve our customers’ experience throughout the lifecycle of their plant,” said Eric Gray, CEO of GE Gas Power. “This acquisition will also strengthen the quality, service, and delivery of an end-to-end controls experience, brought to life by a single controls business line with world-class talent.”
