Fastenal Co. (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, Minnesota, reported July sales of $491.7 million, up 4.7% from the same month a year ago. The company reported daily sales of $23.4 million, up 9.7% versus a year ago.
By region, U.S. sales increased 8.2%, Canada/Mexico sales grew 20.5% and “rest of world” sales grew 11.5%.
By end market, manufacturing sales increased 22.5% while non-residential construction sales increased 9.5%, the company said.
Fastener sales drove the company’s top line, increasing 22.3% while safety sales — which helped sustain Fastenal during the pandemic — declined 5.4% and “other” improved 9%.
